Bot-Valley: India’s Largest Robot Manufacturing Unit Launched in India
Automation firm Addverb has started its robot manufacturing unit Bot-valley in Noida. This unit is said to be India’s largest robot production facility. Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant inaugurated the facility spread in 2.5 acre on March 3, 2021. Estimated cost of construction of the factory is Rs 75 crore.
Ease of Living Index 2020: Bengaluru Tops the List
Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry of central government has released Ease of Living Index 2020. Bengaluru followed by Pune and Ahmedabad topped this index among the cities having above 1 million of population, while Shimla topped the list in the category of cities less than 1 million population. Total 111 cities were assessed for the exercise conducted in 2020.

Prepaid Wifi Service Launched at 4000 Railway Stations by RailTel
Railway PSU RailTel has launched prepaid wi-fi service at 4000 railway stations on March 4, 2021. A user can now use up to 30 minutes free wi-fi per day at 1 mbps speed. However, user will need to choose a plan at a nominal fee for the speed of up to 34mbps.

Kieron Pollard Becomes 3rd to Hit 6 Sixes in an Over in International Cricket
Kieron Pollard, West Indies limited-overs format skipper, became the third batsman after South Africa’s Herschelle Gibbs. India’s Yuvraj Singh in the history of international cricket to hit six 6s in an over on March 4, 2021. He also achieved the feat in the first T20I of the three-match series against Sri Lanka at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Osbourn, Antigua. Consequently, Pollard hit Sri Lanka’s Akila Dananjaya for six 6s in the sixth over of the innings.
Father of Hockey-Legend Wayne Gretzky Dies at 82
Walter Gretzky, the father of ice hockey legend Wayne Gretzky, passed away at the age of 82 on February 4. He was battling from Parkinson’s disease for nine-years. Walter was famous for his contributions to minor hockey in Canada. He was also honored and recognized for his dedication to helping many local, provincial, and national charities.

Hong Kong Court Rejected the Bail of 32 Democracy Activists
On Thursday, a court in Hong Kong denied bail to 32 out of 47 pro-democracy activists. They were charged under a Beijing-imposed national security law, ending a four-day marathon court hearing. Consequently, the court charged the group of activists with conspiracy to commit subversion under the law. On Sunday, the court also detained over their involvement in an unofficial primary election last year.
Myanmar Military Threatens Protesters on TikTok
Myanmar military and police are using TikTok to deliver death threats to protesters against last month’s coup. Digital rights group Myanmar ICT for Development (MIDO) said it had found over 800 pro-military videos in which protesters were standing at a time of bloodshed. The soldiers also claimed to kill anyone whom they will see.
