NEET UG

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) (or NEET (UG)) is an all India entrance test for admissions to the medical colleges that opens the gate for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS and BHMS courses. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the NEET exam and provides the results to the Directorate General of Health Services for seat allocation. NEET-UG replaced the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) and many other pre-medical exams and became a single pre-medical entrance test across the country. From September 2019 onwards, it became common entrance test for admissions to medical colleges in India including the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), which were earlier used to conduct separate entrance exams.
